Biography :

In 2008, John K-ay migrated to Australia, after spending 11 years in a refugee camp of Tanzania. He says, “When I was in the camp, I always wanted do and be something more, but due to the lack of opportunities and limited resources in the camp, I couldn’t do anything. When I arrived in Australia, I realized that nothing is impossible, He released his first film with a fierce determination.” In early 2015, John K-ay released a music video called “I Love You Mum.” John K-ay says, “he was born in a small country called Burundi with limited resources. john said he was born a sickly child and couldn’t cry, eat or breast . Everyone had given up on him, But his mum refused to give up on him becuse the love was too strong. She travelled from state to state by foot, to find better doctors. When she found a good hospital, I was given just one pill and he started crying. It was a joy to the family. The song I Love You Mum is made to thank his mum and all the mothers all over the world,By August 2015, John K-ay released 2 short films that changed many people’s lives. Audiences fell in love with his films, and he promised everyone who attended the event that in 2016, he will surprise them. This year 2016, John K-ay Wrote, directed and acted in Irreversible Choices. Irreversible Choices is a harrowing film that deals with a number of existential themes including notions of home, family upheaval, and personal destruction. Irreversible Choices was premiered in 4 states in Australia, after few months john was nominated on (Aamma) Afro australia music and movie awards, he won an award on the night of the event as the best Director- producer.  Irreversible choices is the first African Australian movie to be premiered on iroko tv.Iroko-Tv is African biggest movie network.
